Demo Reel and other things

Well my first demo reel is up. Go ahead and watch it.


It’s pretty close to the end of school and graduation is in two weeks…and it feels weird. It feels weird thinking that someone would hire me to do…art stuff as a full time job. But everyone tells me otherwise. I suppose I should be proud of myself, I’m only 19 and I already know what I want to do in life.
I have my sights set on getting a job at Studio B (That Flash Poser job sounds perfect.) I’ve got two other places in mind, Nitrogen and Big Bad Boo…to tell you the truth I haven’t gone searching for all the flash studios in town and they’re hard to find via google.
In other news…uh…oh yeah. Remember that one post with all the game concept stuff? Well I kinda dove deeper into it. A small project on the side.

That little thing of Ellekarr running and slashing at the beginning of my reel is also a part of this game thing.
                               
I’ve given up on programming. I’m just no good at code n whatnot. So instead I’m just going to animate sprites and put together a mock-gameplay-video and hope that someone else will program for me. I think this is the best way to do it, since I want to put all my effort towards animating things for the next few months…or years…whatever.
Feel free to visit the Demo Reel page, I’ll be sure to update it with the actual demo reel and some pics I guess, gotta accumulate a portfolio aparantly. I don’t know what I’d put in it though, since most of my drawings are rough.
Well …maybe roughs aren’t such a bad idea.

Has July really come and gone?


I think I should make a drawroody-poo thread on 4chan once every month. It certainly helps bolster these monthly drawchan posts! BECAUSE BIGGER IS BETTER HUE HUE HUE HUE HUE
Aaaaand see you in three weeks or so, when I’ll post what I have done on that other short I talked about last post.

Current Project – Movie Premiere

My other short involves Mac and his new friend Robbie panicking over lost tickets to a new movie.
…I doubt I’ll be able to finish it (There’s less than 4 weeks left in the term) but I’ll try my best. It would certainly help my demo reel if anything.
It involves Mac from the last one and his new roommate Robbie.


Aaaaaand here’s the storyboards.


While I don’t have any scenes done at this point (Which is something I should be worried about) I do have a…”run” cycle rough for Robbie.



He can’t run too well…big feet n all.
Also, I recently added a few ads to the bottom of the page. Wanna support me n my work but don’t want to donate your own money? Then click on an ad! Just click one or two a day, don’t overdo it! All the money I get from whoring out my blog goes towards buying a new power adapter for my laptop! My old one is beginning to break down and I need a new one real bad!

Current Project – The New Kid

School’s back in session, and I’ve decided to do a different short. A bunch of shorts, hopefully. All about a new student and his adjustment to his new school. His name is Mac. Today I’m going to show some concept and rough stuff because it makes me feel more like a big man!
